William Bagwell Peele

William Bagwell Peele is the owner of Bagwell Studios and a multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry. As an Executive Producer, Producer, Director, Writer, Actor, Model, Photographer, Drone Operator, and Editor, William has made a significant impact on the Greater Orlando Area’s creative scene while staying true to his roots in Portsmouth, Virginia.

His passion for storytelling led him to star in The Virginia Drama Series, with its second season currently in development. He has earned numerous film credits on award-winning projects, several of which are featured on IMDb. One of William’s proudest achievements includes earning third place and a bronze award at the Spotlight Short Film Festival. Recent projects he contributed to include The Black Walnut (2020), Being B’ucked 22 (2022), and Clouded With Lavender (2023).

William holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and Journalism (2018) and a Master of Art in Media Production (2020) from Norfolk State University, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List twice. In 2023, he earned a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from Full Sail University with a perfect 4.0 GPA, receiving two Course Director’s Awards during his time there. William is currently obtaining his 3rd Master’s degree in Entertainment Business.

Upon the completion of his second Master’s program, William has crewed on over 60 film projects, starting with his first student film, Memories (2022), as Director of Photography. Bagwell Films made its debut with the short film Bullied (2023), where William served as Executive Producer, Producer, Director, Writer, Actor, and Editor.

​

In the summer of 2023, William became a lifelong member of the Nate Parker Foundation graduating class. Later that year, he joined Forbes BLK, solidifying his commitment to leadership and representation in the industry.

​

William’s educational journey expanded in 2024 when he completed acting school at Truthful Acting Studios in Orlando, Florida. He is currently attending an acting school based in Los Angeles, which offers both online and in-person classes, created and taught by Diego Tinoco, known for his role in Netflix’s series On My Block.

His professional credits include working on CBS’s Blue Bloods (Season 14) and his current role as an active crew member on Law & Order. Additionally, William was a background actor in Tyler Perry’s and Devon Franklin’s upcoming Netflix film “R&B”.

In October of 2024, William attended BET’s Black Men Summit as an audience member. Hosted by comedian and actor DL Hughley, the event featured influential figures like Jermaine Dupri, Michael Ealy, and Vic Mensa, offering a platform to celebrate and elevate Black voices.

William’s diverse experiences, entrepreneurship, education, performance, and dedication to his craft continue to shape his journey as a storyteller and industry leader.
